Samsung may have just confirmed a 512GB storage model for the Galaxy Note 9. A commercial video of Galaxy Note 9 has been leaked online revealing the same and some other key design details.
The video which belongs to Samsung New Zealand has been taken down now, but its versions are available. The 30-second video shows the Galaxy Note 9 along with the S Pen stylus. A 512GB microSD card is seen in the video along with a text which reads, “1 terabyte ready with expandable memory”.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been speculated to come with a 512GB model for quite some time now. With the support for 512GB microSD card and 1TB expandable storage, this confirms the rumoured spec. Galaxy Note 9 with 512GB onboard storage and additional 512GB microSD card equals to 1TB of storage in total. Samsung’s official teaser of the phone has also highlighted the storage aspect.
Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be offered in two more variants of 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM plus 256GB storage.
Moving on to the video, it confirms what has been reported so far about the smartphone’s design language. Samsung is said to follow the same design as the Galaxy Note 8 with some minute changes. The most evident one would be the different placement of the fingerprint sensor which is now below the rear camera lens. Galaxy Note 8 had the fingerprint sensor placed on the right side of the cameras.
The new S Pen stylus in bright yellow colour is also shown in the promo video. The stylus will reportedly receive Bluetooth connectivity support along with a new option to unlock the device. The video also states an ‘all day battery’ for the Galaxy Note 9 which could be a 4,000mAh battery.
Leaks and official announcements only confirm rumours and speculations around the Galaxy Note 9. Although there won’t be much change around the design of the smartphone, it will be packed with top-end specifications.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will most likely be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 SoC. The smartphone could sport a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Samsung is also expected to improve the camera specifics of Galaxy Note 9 like better low-light photography, and improved optical image stabilisation (OIS). Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is scheduled to launch at ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event on August 9.
