Jennifer Lopez wears Versace boots in New York

Jennifer Lopez’s latest look proves that every now and then, a denim style trend comes around that’s equal parts funny and stylish. Seen in New York on Wednesday, the singer-actor rocked the ‘lampshade’ look — apparently what you call wearing an oversize T-shirt that covers up your shorts and makes you look like a lamp shade — with a pair of slouchy over-the-knee boots that were made entirely of the blue jean fabric. The design is from Versace Resort 2019 collection.

That’s not all, though. Jennifer’s denim accessories boasted not only a pointed toe and fully-covered stiletto heel, but they were also designed with belt buckles, black belts around the top of each, and even patch pockets on the back. In short, they were quite literally a pair of jeans on each leg. On top, Jennifer wore a white button-down shirt as a dress that only just grazed the top of her thighs. And while it might be somewhat of a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, she wore it like only Jennifer Lopez can and looked flawless all the while.

The internet has wasted no time reacting to her look. Reactions to the boots were passionate on Twitter, with some people questioning the unusual shoes but others calling JLo a style genius, writing, “Thought those were pants that stop at the knee” and “That awkward moment when you thought that @JLo’s pants are falling.” One user even shared, “@JLo @Versace boots look like she forgot to pull up her pants after going to the restroom… mama, u are a fashion icon.. but this… this is a sin!,” while more still hysterically asked, “According to the photo, she’s got a belt wrapped around her thighs. How is it possible to walk like that?”
