He had written a long post for Janhvi a day before the trailer launch. “Tomorrow you will be part of the audience forever #JanhviKapoor cause your trailer comes out… Firstly, sorry I’m not there in Mumbai but I’m by your side, don’t worry. I just wanted you to know this profession is amazing if you work hard, be honest, learn to take the accolades with the brickbats, respect opinions, yet follow your own path & instinct. It’s not gonna be easy but I know you are ready for all the madness that will ensue. All the best for #Dhadak! I’m certain that my friends @ShashankKhaitan & @karanjohar have presented you & #IshaanKhatter as the modern Romeo & Juliet with elan,” he had written in a string of tweets.
In Dhadak, Janhvi and Ishaan play two small town kids from Udaipur who fall in love. However, their families are against their union, which drives them away from their homes. It is an official remake of Marathi hit film, Sairat.
The film releases on July 20.
Janhvi and her sister Khushi are half-sisters to Arjun and his sister Anshula. Janhvi and Khushi are the daughters of film producer Boney Kapoor and late actor Sridevi while Arjun and Anshula are children of Boney and his late first wife, Mona.
Arjun is currently shooting for Namastey England with Parineeti Chopra in London.
